About Victoria's Children's Court:
The Court has jurisdiction under the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 to hear cases involving children and young people up to the age of 18 years.
This role is responsible for managing daily operations within the registry, leading a team and developing practices and procedures at the Melbourne Court. It requires an advanced understanding of the Court's systems and highly developed leadership skills.
The position operates in a sensitive environment that demands sound judgement, relationship-building and effective liaison with judiciary and senior officers.
To be successful, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team and manage competing priorities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of professionals in the registry;
- Developing and implementing practices and procedures;
- Managing daily operations and ensuring smooth functioning of the registry.
