About the Role

Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join their busy workshop team in Adelaide. This role involves preparing new earthmoving equipment to customer specifications and providing quality diagnostic, repair and maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of new and used equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and targets.
  • Preparation and testing of pre-delivery inspections for new equipment.
  • Ensuring all work is performed safely.
  • Completion and submission of relevant paperwork and reports.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum Certificate III in a Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent discipline.
  • Prior experience with overhaul, repair, and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on earthmoving equipment.
  • Strong technical knowledge and diagnostic ability.
  • An uncompromising commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
