Senior Group Accountant Job Description

As a Senior Group Accountant at Randstad, you will play a critical role in the financial accounting and control function of the Group and its subsidiaries. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the monthly and annual financial accounting, as well as day-to-day finance activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of the Group's Half Year and Full Year statutory reports
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Group Financial Accountants
  • Collaborate with the Financial Controller to standardize and consolidate financial control activities, driving efficiency and effectiveness
  • Lead the Group's month-end close process, reviewing the P&L and balance sheet for accuracy and completeness
  • Work with other Finance teams and departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of the month-end process
  • Challenge the business to ensure General Ledger integrity and accuracy
Requirements:
  • CPA/CA qualification or international equivalent
  • Strong technical accounting experience in a financial control function
  • Background in Banking/Financial Services industry
  • Leadership experience, mentoring, and development of others
  • Understanding of control frameworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to build relationships
  • Continuous improvement mindset
