Care Coordinator for Indigenous Families in Alice Springs

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Home Visitor to join our team at Central Australian Aboriginal Congress, delivering culturally responsive care to families in Alice Springs.
About the RoleThe Australian Nurse Family Partnership Program is an evidence-based nurse home visitation program that has been rigorously evaluated over 25 years. Our Nurse Home Visitors work in partnership with Aboriginal Family Partnership Workers and enrolled clients from early pregnancy to 2 years post-birth, providing intensive support through regular home visits.
Key Responsibilities- Develop long-term relationships with clients, building their capacity, skills, and confidence to ensure self-determination and empowerment.
- Culturally responsive practice, working collaboratively with Aboriginal Family Partnership Workers and clients to address their unique needs and priorities.
- Provide education, guidance, and support on parenting, health, and wellbeing, promoting healthy lifestyle choices and community connections.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other services to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
- Registered Nurse or Midwife qualifications, with experience working with Indigenous communities preferred.
- Strong understanding of cultural safety principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders.
- School Hours, Part-time 0.8 available or Full Time contract options available.
- Competitive salary range: $101,458 - $121,251 (p.a.) + Total Effective Package: $123,867 - $147,820 (p.a.).
