Job Description

As the Elective Surgery Manager (ESM), you will play a critical role in improving the operational efficiency of elective surgery services. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, overseeing the coordination and management of elective surgery waitlists, theatre utilisation, and ensuring the achievement of national targets.

This position offers the opportunity to drive change in a high-impact area, ensuring timely and high-quality care for patients. You will be responsible for implementing sustainable systems, providing data-driven insights, and managing the surgical strategies that support CALHN's goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate and 3+ years' post-registration experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with experience in conflict resolution and team management.
  • Proven ability to drive change management and improve models of care with a focus on patient-centred approaches.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant healthcare standards, legislation, and safety guidelines.
