Key Responsibilities:- Assist in food preparation for breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, functions, and buffet service.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
- Ensure accurate stock rotation and minimize wastage, implementing effective stock control procedures.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
- Collaborate with chefs to ensure all food produced meets our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of food storage and handling, adhering to current food health and hygiene regulations.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and supervisors to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Commercial Cookery Qualification – Cert III or IV is preferred.
- Previous experience in the hotel industry, preferably in a similar role.
- Familiarity with Food Safety and WHS legislation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
