Role: Educational Coach

Impact:

  • We seek an exceptional educational coach to provide tailored support to our early childhood teachers, fostering their growth and enhancing teaching strategies.
  • The successful candidate will stay updated on the latest Australian Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) practice, ensuring they apply best practices in their daily work.
  • This role requires a deep understanding of State regulations, including Child Protection, National Regulations, and Workplace Health and Safety, with a focus on proactive safety measures.
  • An emphasis on inclusive practices and continuous improvement in early childhood education is crucial for this position, as the coach will play a key role in promoting quality and excellence throughout the organisation.
  • The ideal candidate will lead, mentor, and coach colleagues to achieve professional growth, skills development, and commitment to excellence.
  • Daily centre visits across the network are necessary to build strong relationships with teachers, understand their challenges, and offer expert guidance when needed.
  • This role demands a high level of knowledge about the Early Years Learning Framework and other approved learning guidelines, as well as proficiency in the National Quality Standard.

Requirements:

  • A minimum 4-year Early Childhood qualification from a recognised university.
  • Extensive experience in early childhood teacher education, particularly aged birth to 8 years.
  • A sound understanding of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child is essential.
  • Teacher registration/accreditation at proficient level in NSW, SA, VIC, WA, or QLD.
  • Familiarity with relevant State or Territory legislation and the National Quality Framework is required.
  • Experience in supporting teams and working collaboratively is vital for success.
