Lead Project Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Project Engineer to lead our established engineering team for upcoming subsea and ROV projects. This role is based in West Perth and requires occasional project site visits and offshore work.

  • Work with the Project Manager, Engineers and Operational Team to execute project work scopes.
  • Interface and communicate with clients.
  • Take responsibility for large and/or multiple work packages and ensure HSE / quality and delivery.
  • Evaluate and enhance emerging and existing engineering technologies, collaborating with the Engineering team to integrate them into projects.
  • Supervise and guide engineers through technical development, design review, constructability, HAZID workshops, and offshore execution.
  • Review all engineering documentation prior to approval.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team leadership and management.
  • Client communication and interface.
  • Quality and commercial delivery.
  • Continuous improvement of engineering technologies.
About You

We're looking for a leader who is approachable, collaborative, and takes ownership. You build strong relationships, communicate clearly, and bring a positive, solution-focused mindset.

  • Extensive experience in subsea/offshore engineering and project delivery.
  • A Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical, mechatronic, structural, or ocean engineering, or naval architecture.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Project. Experience with specialist software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks is also desirable.
  • A full driver's license.
  • The ability to obtain an offshore survival course and pass the associated medical exam.
  • You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a full, valid work visa.
