This role offers a chance to work in a head office environment with a supportive finance team and contribute to both business-as-usual finance and post-acquisition integration activity.
The successful candidate will have strong experience in month-end reporting and audit preparation, as well as exposure to consolidation and integration processes. They will be comfortable working in a structured head office environment with overseas leadership and able to navigate procedures while taking ownership at a local level.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare monthly financial and management reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
- Prepare and lodge timely statutory returns (BAS, PAYG, FBT, etc).
- Deliver quarterly board reports.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
- Assist with year-end statutory accounts and external audit coordination.
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal policies.
- Manage and maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Assist with accounts payable functions, including processing and reconciliations.
- Handle stock control and reconciliations.
- Monitor and improve internal controls; participate in process reviews.
- Liaise with global head office to ensure group alignment.
- Strong experience in month-end reporting and audit preparation (particularly external audits).
- Exposure to consolidation and integration processes is a plus - the business has recently acquired another company.
- Comfortable working in a structured head office environment, with overseas leadership.
- Able to navigate procedures while taking ownership at a local level.
- Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA or CA qualification (or currently completing).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of statutory reporting and compliance.
- Proficient in Excel and accounting systems.
- High attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute - even if you don't tick every box, training will be provided for the right person.
