About this Role:
The Strategy and Policy Team of the Early Childhood Division is responsible for providing expert advice and analysis to ensure the Queensland Government's early childhood policy objectives are achieved.
Your Responsibilities:
This role presents an opportunity to make a positive impact, build organisational capability, and lead others. You will be required to think creatively, communicate complex concepts, and make informed recommendations to senior management. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development of a Queensland Early Childhood Workforce Strategic Plan
- Providing in-depth analysis, advice, and recommendations on policy issues affecting the early childhood sector
- Managing evaluations of major programs/initiatives and making recommendations for improvements
- Contributing towards or leading projects to improve participation and outcomes for all children, particularly vulnerable and disadvantaged children, First Nation's children, and children with additional needs
Requirements:
We are seeking an individual with a strong background in policy/program development, project implementation, and evaluation. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Key Skills:
The successful candidate will have expertise in one or more of the following areas: policy development, project implementation, and evaluation. They will also possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
