We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated medical professional to join our team as a Career Medical Officer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

This role will provide an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their expertise in labour ward management and gynaecology operating, while working in a complex clinical environment.

As a Career Medical Officer, you will be responsible for providing effective medical services to patients under supervision, while developing your skills and expertise in medical practice.

The Central Coast is home to two major hospitals: Gosford Hospital and Wyong Hospital. Both hospitals offer a range of specialist services, including general medicine, surgery, and emergency care.

We have a strong focus on multidisciplinary teamwork, leadership and direction, and ensuring appropriate management of patients. You will work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment, utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

A strong commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management is also essential.

  • Fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Eligible for fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP)

Gosford Hospital is the principal referral hospital and trauma centre for the Central Coast, with over 500 inpatient beds and 24/7 access to the emergency department and operating theatres.

Wyong Hospital is an acute major metropolitan hospital with over 300 beds providing inpatient, outpatient and emergency services to residents in the northern region of the Central Coast.
