Cyber Security Specialist Role Overview

This is a technical support position that demands strong analytical skills and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have experience in threat and risk analysis, as well as the ability to develop custom systems for security features and procedures.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Conducting threat and risk analysis, analyzing the business impact of new and existing systems and technologies to eliminate risk, performance, and capacity issues.
  • Implementing vulnerability assessments and configuring audits of operating systems, web servers, and databases, detecting patterns, insecure features, and malicious activities in the infrastructure.
  • Performing research, testing, evaluation, and deployment of security technology and procedures.
  • Running diagnostics on any changes to data to verify undetected breaches.
  • Developing firewalls to secure network infrastructure.
  • Conducting counteractive protocols and reporting incidents.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

  • An in-depth understanding of OWASP testing methodology, Dynamic and Static Application Security Testing, re-engineering, automation, PHP/NodeJS, IDS/IPS systems, Burp Suite, Nmap, Nessus, Qualys, and Metasploit.
  • Able to manage relationships and coordinate with clients and service providers.
