We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to join our team at the Northern Territory Government. As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in providing advice on and informing the Minister and Department for Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics (DIPL), the Development Consent Authority (DCA), NT Planning Commission (NTPC) and stakeholders on a range of planning and development issues and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing high-level correspondence, ministerial briefings, letters, memos and reports
- Processing planning applications for compliance with the relevant Planning Scheme and statutory requirements
- Representing the Department in proceedings of the DCA, the NTPC and the NT Civil and Administrative Tribunal
Requirements
- Hold a degree or diploma qualification related to Land Use Planning
- Eligibility for admission to corporate membership of the Planning Institute of Australia
- Demonstrated recent experience in dealing with a wide range of land use, land capability and development planning issues
