About The Role

Responsibilities
  • Conduct interviews with potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability to donate
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to other team members during the blood collection process
  • Carry out routine health checks, including blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
  • Set up and operate equipment safely and efficiently
  • Collect whole blood and plasma samples from donors
  • Manage any adverse reactions experienced by donors and provide necessary care and assistance
  • Monitor donors after their donation and help them schedule their next appointment
Requirements
  • Possess physical fitness to perform tasks such as lifting and standing for long periods
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Hold a degree in nursing (or equivalent) and a current registration with the relevant authority
  • Be flexible to work varying shifts, including weekends and afternoon shifts, on a rotating roster
  • Have a valid driver's license and own vehicle
