Job Details

This role is responsible for ensuring the security and safety of airport passengers and staff.

The Aviation Screening Officer will perform duties related to screening, including operating equipment and maintaining high levels of professionalism under all circumstances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Primary function includes passenger screening at airports; officers are rotated among positions.
  • Positions include Loader, X-Ray Operator, Physical Bag Searcher, Primary Position (Body scanner/Walk-through metal detector), and Explosive Trace Detector (ETD).
  • Maintain safety standards and professional conduct; handle challenging interactions with the public and engage in conflict resolution as needed.
Qualifications
  • Fully certified and accredited to perform Aviation Screening duties as per requirements — Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (Aviation)
  • Hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
  • Training funded by Certis, including Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (AVI20118) and 40 hours on-the-job training
