About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Specialist to join our team at Mexx Engineering. As an Engineering Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects at different stages, from machine assembly and testing to commissioning and installation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project management: Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages, work to deadlines and budgets, and experience in specification and ordering of purchase components.
  • Machine assembly, testing, commissioning and installation: Selecting tools and equipment, assembling and installing new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools and controls, and hydraulic power systems.
  • Post-project customer support: Providing exceptional support to customers after project completion.
Requirements
  • AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in mechanical engineering (or equivalent international qualification).
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in machine design or relevant engineering role. Experience in automation or manufacturing industry preferred but not essential.
  • Familiarity with safety requirements of machine design.
  • Sound knowledge of PLC's, sensors, pneumatics, servo motors, conveyors and robotic based automation systems.
  • Knowledge, or the ability to quickly gain knowledge in robotic based automation systems.
  • Be familiar with manufacturing practice and experience in automation and robotic design concepts.
Essential Skills and Attributes
  • Project management: Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages, work to deadlines and budgets, and experience in specification and ordering of purchase components.
  • Machine assembly, testing, commissioning and installation: Selecting tools and equipment, assembling and installing new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools and controls, and hydraulic power systems.
  • Post-project customer support: Providing exceptional support to customers after project completion.
