Education and Training Coordinator - MSIR

We are seeking an experienced Education and Training Coordinator to join our team at the Medically Supervised Injecting Room (MSIR). The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering education, training, and professional development programs for clinicians and practitioners working within the MSIR.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training plans to enhance staff skills and knowledge in areas such as Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, overdose awareness, and management.
  • Coordinate mandatory training sessions for all staff members within the MSIR.
  • Design and deliver education sessions to support the delivery of high-quality clinical and harm reduction services.
  • Foster partnerships with external stakeholders to identify opportunities that align with staff training interests and needs.
Requirements:
  • CURRENT NURSING REGISTRATION WITH THE NURSING AND MIDWIFERY BOARD OF AUSTRALIA VIA AHPRA.
  • Degree in General Nursing which meets the registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Postgraduate Qualifications in relevant nursing specialty.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Education, Clinical Supervision or similar (or working towards).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in critical care nursing.
  • Proficient in Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support, and possession of a relevant, current qualification.
  • Experience in development, delivery, and coordination of education programs.
