Job Description:

The Senior Contracts Administrator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects by leveraging their expertise in contract management, construction, and legal insights.

This position involves working closely with Project Managers to deliver high-quality results that meet client expectations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of project deliverables and effective client management techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Collaborate with Project Managers on financial activities, review Bill of Quantities, set up project budgets, and ensure accuracy.
  • Contract Administration: Implement and maintain financial tools, process financial tasks according to Hickory's Financial calendar, and provide timely financial reports.
  • Project Oversight: Monitor and expedite payments, administer site payments and supplies, process payments in financial software, and manage subcontractor tendering and contracts.
  • Risk Management: Analyze tender documents and contracts, identify and mitigate commercial risks, consult on potential claims and disputes, and administer project procurement schedule.
  • Communication: Liaise with stakeholders, manage extensions of time, ensure compliance with insurance and contractual requirements, submit necessary notices and claims, and document site progress.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management, or an equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the commercial construction industry.
  • Experience in large-scale construction projects and successfully negotiating complex contracts.
