Vehicle Maintenance Specialist

In this role, you will oversee the maintenance of vehicles in a fleet management setting. You will be responsible for managing maintenance programs, ensuring safety and cost-effectiveness, and providing excellent customer service.
This is an opportunity to utilize your mechanical expertise in a customer-facing environment. As a Vehicle Maintenance Specialist, you will work with suppliers, stakeholders, and customers to ensure that vehicles are repaired and maintained efficiently and effectively.
The ideal candidate will have trade qualifications in motor mechanics and moderate to advanced computer skills. Experience in commercial vehicle maintenance is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage maintenance programs to ensure safety and cost-effectiveness
- Authorize and manage repairs to get vehicles back on the road quickly and cost-effectively
- Provide technical expertise as a Maintenance SME for Commercial vehicles
- Maintain good relationships and communicate with key Account Managers
- Reconciliation of issued work authorities
- Ensure accurate maintenance coding in the ERP system
