About the Role
We are seeking a Product Manager to join our team at FIS Australia. As a Product Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and implement quality technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain a thorough understanding of product strategy, market, industry, and client goals.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business problem statements and convert them into user stories.
- Articulate product vision and user stories in a manner clearly understandable to development teams.
- Manage backlog of user stories for one or more projects/features.
- Establish user story acceptance criteria, accepts user stories, refines stories with Scrum teams.
- Review and provide feedback on test plans to ensure application changes meet acceptance criteria.
- Create Sprint Release Plans with input from development teams.
- Monitor the development progress and provides updates to stakeholders as requested.
- Lead planning and review meetings to communicate feedback on development achievements.
- Interact with product owners and product managers to define/translate requirements and modifications into product designs.
Requirements
- A sound knowledge of financial services industry.
- General IT knowledge, be able to communicate technical concepts concisely and effectively.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Strong work ethic, and responsive to internal and external clients and contacts.
- Sound analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- A high degree of numeracy and a capacity for complex concepts.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently under minimum supervision.
- Ability to work under pressure, achieve deadlines and effectively prioritise concurrent tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- A background in Corporate treasury, finance knowledge, payment processing or banking is a big plus.
- The Certified Scrum Product Owner professional certification is preferred.
- Experience in a SaaS environment.
- Experience with the agile development process.
