Service Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional mental health services in a community-supported residential unit in the South-West region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of the unit's service delivery, budget, staff, and regulatory compliance. This includes leading the team to deliver safe, high-quality, best-practice mental health services, driving cultural excellence, and striving for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Service Management: Lead the team to deliver high-quality mental health services, ensuring compliance with program requirements and regulatory frameworks.
- Relationship Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize service delivery and share best practices.
- People and Performance Management: Oversee employee recruitment, performance, training needs, and employee development.
- Finance and Budgeting: Manage financial resources, including budget compliance and expenditure authorization.
- Leadership: Demonstrate values-based leadership, promoting an open and productive culture.
To be considered for this role, you will possess:
- Relevant degree in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, or similar.
- Team leadership experience in a complex service delivery setting, preferably in mental health or related fields.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience in change management, budget management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrates courage in leadership and maintains cultural sensitivity and respect.
- Be able to provide a National Police Clearance (no older than 3 months).
- Valid WA driver's license.
- Valid First Aid Certificate.
- Working with Children Check.
- Ability to travel to Perth during the first few weeks to meet with key stakeholders and occasional travel for meetings (at the organization's expense).
- Be prepared to be on call (allowance provided) once every 7-8 weeks.
