Senior Trading Systems Developer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to spearhead the development of a cutting-edge electronic trading platform. As a key member of our technology team, you will design and implement mission-critical components for our in-house built application.

This is an opportunity to lead the development of a high-impact trading system in partnership with financial experts and technologists. Your expertise in Java, distributed systems, and financial market technologies will be crucial in architecting and scaling our platform.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing RFQ workflows, pricing integration, trade execution logic, and dealer UIs;
  • Architecting and implementing RFQ state machines, pricing event wiring, and override messaging logic;
  • Delivering full support for voice trading workflows, including integration with SWML for Straight Through Processing (STP);
  • Driving industrialisation of the eIRS engine, managing timing issues and race conditions;
  • Collaborating with quant teams to integrate core pricing models for short-end curve instruments and relative value analytics;
  • Publishing trade and curve data to IDAP for analytics and dealer UI exposure;
  • Leading engineering decisions on nested feeder curve implementations;
  • Mentoring engineers across UI, platform, and backend domains to ensure delivery quality and velocity.
Key Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Deep knowledge of Java and distributed systems;
  • Experience in financial market technologies, including interest rate swaps;
  • Strong understanding of RFQ workflows, pricing integration, and trade execution logic;
  • Ability to design and implement scalable architecture;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results under pressure.
