Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret complex financial data. They will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

In addition, they will manage month-end and year-end reporting processes efficiently, prepare statutory accounts, and oversee tax compliance. The successful applicant will also support budgeting and forecasting activities for the organisation, identifying areas for process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Manage month-end and year-end reporting processes efficiently.
  • Preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Cash flow reporting.
  • Process improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee tax compliance, including GST and BAS reporting.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities for the organisation.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The Successful Applicant Should Have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CA or CPA qualification (or working towards completion).
  • Experience working within Audit or Business Services environment.
  • Experience in financial reporting and compliance within the retail industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
