Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Berry Springs, Northern Territory. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide advanced and autonomous expert care to patients and families in accordance with Nurse Practitioner legislation and functions.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain competence to practice in accordance with national competency standards for the Nurse Practitioner as directed by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
- Provide advanced and autonomous expert care to patients and families in accordance with Nurse Practitioner legislation and functions.
- Manage patient recalls, reminders, and follow-up of test results.
- Work collaboratively to support medical, nursing, and allied health colleagues in the performance of their clinical role.
- Escalate care to general practitioners where indicated.
- Refer for specialist care where indicated.
- Plan and develop a problem-solving approach to patient care.
- Record and maintain accurate, adequate, and relevant patient records using the established practice protocols and computerized medical records system while meeting legislative standards and accreditation requirements.
- Relevant tertiary qualification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Current registration with AHPRA.
- Advanced clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of illness and injury and health promotion relevant to the role and within individual scope of practice.
- Demonstrated extensive professional and/or leadership experience.
- NP Generalist with experience in primary care. Specific areas of interest in public health desirable but not required.
- Must be able to work as part of a multi-Nurse Practitioner team and independently.
- Advanced interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills (written and verbal).
- National police check, First Aid, WWC check, and current driver's license.
- Up to 70% of the billings (Approx $1000 per day).
- Located in Berry Springs, NT.
- Up to $3,500 for relocation assistance through NT PHN.
- Access to Education Grants through NT PHN.
