About the Role

We are seeking a specialist Psychologist to support students, staff and communities in the Metropolitan South Region. As a member of a multi-disciplinary team working in a school setting, you will connect with individuals to promote mental health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer psych-educational assessments for students with learning difficulties to inform educational programs.
  • Develop and deliver professional development training for teachers, parents and other professionals to support student mental health and wellbeing.
  • Work with external providers to diagnose and monitor student progress, providing supportive guidance to school communities.
  • Counsel and support students affected by critical incidents, collaborating with families and teachers to foster a safe and inclusive environment.

This role offers opportunities to work closely with classroom teachers and families to ensure each student has the chance to thrive academically and personally.

Requirements
  • Qualifications: Registered psychologist with General or Provisional registration.
  • Experience: Passionate about working with students, families and school communities.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
