About the Role

The YMCA Brisbane is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Gymnastics Coach to join our team at our Mango Hill location.

As an Assistant Gymnastics Coach, you will be responsible for assisting our qualified gymnastics coaches in delivering high-quality gymnastics programs to our members. You will be involved in spotting athletes as they perform on various apparatus, observing our athletes prepare for competition, and assisting with the set-up of gymnastics equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the set-up of gymnastics equipment and commencement of classes
  • Spot athletes as they perform on various apparatus
  • Observe athletes prepare for competition
  • Assist with the administration of gymnastics programs

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge and practice experience in all aspects of gymnastics
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificates, or willingness to obtain
  • Positive Notice Blue Card, or willingness to obtain
  • Be working towards your Beginners Gymnastics Accreditation or be willing to undertake your accreditation through The Y
