Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Rehabilitation Physician to join our team on a fixed-term basis. The selected candidate will provide medical leadership in managing the late effects of polio and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will work within a flexible, interdisciplinary structure to ensure clients receive appropriate treatment. As a Rehabilitation Specialist, you will be responsible for developing management strategies, attending multi-disciplinary regional clinics, and participating in ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical leadership in managing the late effects of polio
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop management strategies
- Attend multi-disciplinary regional clinics six times per year
- Participate in an approved Continuing Medical Education (CME) program
Requirements:
- Specialist registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia/AHPRA
- Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine or equivalent
- Experience in managing people with a history of polio is preferred
