Research Officer - Artificial Intelligence

This role is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team working on cutting-edge research projects focused on improving the diagnosis and management of people with skin cancer in various regions.

The primary objective is to develop and test models that enhance primary care capacity and improve access to healthcare services. This involves collaborating with experts in Artificial Intelligence and healthcare to identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting research relating to Artificial Intelligence in the diagnosis of skin cancers for RISE4SkinCancer,
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of AI models in improving healthcare outcomes,
  • Developing and implementing effective oral and written communication strategies to disseminate research findings to stakeholders,
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI-driven innovations in healthcare,

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree or PhD in AI or computer science or other relevant discipline,
  • Experience in research and evaluation, particularly in the field of AI and healthcare,
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner,
  • Demonstrated understanding of AI in healthcare, including its applications and limitations.
