Senior Monument Inspector

The Role:

In this full-time position as our Senior Monument Inspector, you will oversee monument installations and work closely with contractors to ensure compliance across all SMCT sites. Based at our Springvale Botanical Cemetery, you will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships and upholding SMCT's standards and values.

• Issue permits, inspect installations, and regulate monument repairs to meet legislative standards and SMCT's vision.
• Check monument foundations for compliance and oversee quality across grave sites.
• Collaborate with Stonemasons to plan and execute works effectively.
• Monitor memorial installations and report discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain data on CRM, coordinate removal of unauthorised memorials, and liaise with families.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
• Manage reporting requirements and ensure records are accurately maintained.
• Adhere to HSW procedures, promote SMCT policies, and support sustainability efforts.

• You have excellent initiative and self-management skills.
• You possess strong administrative experience, capable of managing multiple jobs across various sites.
• You can thrive under pressure in a complex environment.
• You have highly developed relationship management skills.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• You hold an unrestricted Australian Driver's License.

Estimated Salary: AU$80,000 - AU$100,000 per annum
