About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled Dental Therapists to join our team at Central Adelaide Local Health Network. As a Dental Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing general and emergency dental care to clients, while also contributing to the development of population and public oral health planning and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general and emergency dental care to clients, including planning, advice, and oral health education/promotion.
  • Work well as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating a high level of clinical competence and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and professional groups, providing guidance and direction to Dental Assistants and Dental Assistant Trainees.
  • Ensure administration relating to patient records, appointments, co-payments, and recall systems are managed as required.
Requirements
  • Registration or eligibility to register as a Dental Therapist or Oral Health Therapist with the Dental Board of Australia through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Dental Board of Australia policies, codes, and standards, as well as the code of ethics for the South Australian Public Sector.
  • Commitment to working as part of a clinical team and working well with other health professionals.
