Job Description

Develop and manage the master outage schedule for power station outages, collaborating with engineers, contractors, and project teams to bring together maintenance, capital works, and inspection activities into one coordinated plan.

Work across all phases of the outage lifecycle, applying your understanding of boiler, turbine, electrical, and chemical work scopes to develop logical, efficient schedules.

Provide expert advice on resource levelling to ensure optimal allocation within set outage periods, building and maintaining the overall outage schedule in MS Project 2016.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and contractors to consolidate maintenance and capital works schedules.
  • Read and interpret technical job modules to determine required resources, sequencing, and durations for work packages.
  • Apply your expertise to develop logical, efficient schedules that incorporate key activities, milestones, and interdependencies.
  • Identify risks, conflicts, and constraints, and work with teams to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor pre-outage works and report progress to the Outage Coordinator.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in planning and scheduling large, multi-discipline industrial projects.
  • Practical knowledge of outage works across boilers, turbines, and electrical systems in a power station environment.
  • Advanced MS Project (2016) and Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
