We are seeking a dedicated Community Education Specialist to provide educational support services and promote cross-cultural awareness in our school community.

Job Description

The successful applicant will work closely with students and stakeholders to deliver targeted educational programs and activities, promoting student wellbeing, engagement, and achievement. This role involves collaborating with schools to develop and implement strategies that enhance the involvement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and their families in education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualised educational counselling and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students across multiple schools
  • Develop and deliver cross-cultural awareness training to school staff and wider community groups
Requirements

To be successful in this role, applicants must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and school staff. A high level of cultural competence and understanding of the experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is also essential.
