Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Credit Associate to join our team in Oceania's Credit & Portfolio Management team (CPM). The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the origination and management of new and existing corporate and institutional customers, as well as offshore subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct annual credit reviews and internal rating reviews as per internal guidelines and policies
  • Covenant compliance monitoring and adherence to policy updates and changes within the Bank
  • Support refinancing / restructuring requests and other revenue-generating initiatives across the portfolio
  • Other client requests and account management tasks required in accordance with the Bank's policies and procedures and/or required to support the broader business

Requirements

  • 2 - 5 years' experience in a major domestic or international bank or chartered accounting firm
  • Undergraduate Business / Commerce / Law Degree from a leading university is essential
  • Proficiency in the full suite of core Microsoft products, and will be strong in financial modelling
  • Possess an understanding of financial and economic markets
  • Experience in: (a) credit writing; (b) financial analysis and modelling; and (c) legal documentation and debt structuring
  • Be able to engage in independent research & analysis of customers and markets and apply critical thinking and a high level of attention to detail
  • The ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally
  • Has strong interpersonal and presentations skills
  • Is a team player, has drive and enthusiasm
  • Is a self-starter who applies initiative and is adaptable to change
  • Has an analytical mindset and problem solving skills
  • Has the ability to work independently and prioritise a number of tasks across various work streams and alongside a number of stakeholders

About the Role

In your role as a Credit Associate, you will be responsible for credit analysis and risk management across a portfolio of clients, with a focus on credit quality and achievement of the Bank's risk / return targets. You will work closely with the Portfolio Lead and Relationship Managers to support client acquisition initiatives and other initiatives across the portfolio.
