The OpportunityWe're seeking a Commis Chef to join our team at Yakimono. As a passionate and energetic hospitality professional, you'll be driven to learn and grow in a dynamic and supportive environment. With a focus on Japanese cuisine, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a commercial kitchen.
Key Requirements- Demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen
- Japanese cuisine experience advantageous
- Ability to effectively follow instructions and absorb new information
- Good communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
- Use correct techniques and follow procedures and recipes when preparing and cooking menu items
- Foundation knife skills and understanding of basic cookery terms and techniques
- Calm and composed demeanor
- Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience
