Logistics Operations Manager

Our ideal candidate will be a highly organized and hands-on professional responsible for overseeing the back-of-house operations. They will manage dock schedules to prevent congestion and double-ups, lead a team to deliver top-notch cellar and logistics operations, oversee stock control from ordering and receiving to rotation and storage, maintain food safety and WHS compliance, liaise daily with suppliers, drivers, and internal teams, and keep accurate records and reports to support operational efficiency.

The Role:
  • Develop and implement efficient logistical systems to optimize workflow.
  • Lead a small team to deliver exceptional results in cellar and logistics operations.
  • Oversee the entire stock lifecycle, including ordering, receiving, rotation, and storage.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and WHS standards.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers, drivers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators to drive operational improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in logistics, cellar operations, or stock control (hospitality an advantage).
  • Excellent coordination skills in shared or multi-tenant dock environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and willingness to obtain certification if necessary.
  • Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to learn.
  • RSA certification is required.
Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Experience with beer lines, gas, or postmix systems.
  • Scheduling/traffic flow management experience.
  • Data analysis skills for reporting and forecasting.
