About the Role:

  • You will operate heavy machinery efficiently and safely as a highly skilled production operator.
  • Comply with Thiess' policies and procedures.
  • Respond to instructions from a Mining Supervisor.
  • Excavate to design boundaries of ore bodies, berms, and pit walls.
  • Maintain floor levels and minimize dilution.
  • Achieve design parameters within acceptable tolerances.
  • Set and maintain high housekeeping standards.
  • Perform pre-start checks.

About You:

  • Minimum 5 years of mining experience as a production excavator operator.
  • Equivalent or specific experience operating Hitachi EX3600 is essential.
  • Experience loading dump trucks in a mining production environment is essential.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of ore mark ups and pit configuration.
  • Skills to mine out benches and cutting batters, leaving minimal material for final trim to design of batter angle.
  • HR driver's license (desirable).
  • Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times.
