About the Role

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Anaesthetic/PACU nurse to join our dynamic team at St Vincent's Operating Suite. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering expert clinical care in the peri-anaesthetic environment.

Under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager or Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and friendly team environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the achievement of ward/unit key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver expert clinical care in the peri-anaesthetic environment
  • Work efficiently as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrate 'best practice' clinical skills within the Perioperative environment
  • Act as a clinical role model by providing the highest standard of direct patient care
  • Accurately document patient care in accordance with hospital guidelines
  • Assist in the achievement of ward/unit key performance indicators
Requirements
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Current 12 month experience in perioperative nursing
  • Postgraduate Diploma or Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (peri-anaesthesia stream) is desirable
  • Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
