Health and Liability Lawyer Opportunity

This role offers a rare mix of health law and general liability work, giving you the chance to act for healthcare providers, medical and allied health professionals, and major insurers across a broad range of disputes.

The matters you'll handle will include litigated claims, disciplinary proceedings, and coronial inquests. You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills in both health and liability contexts while managing your own files with mentorship from senior lawyers.

With a strong base of senior lawyers in the team, you'll receive genuine guidance and support while also being trusted to run your own files. The partners you'll work with are recognised leaders in their field and are known for being approachable, collaborative, and supportive.

Responsibilities
  • Handle litigated claims, disciplinary proceedings, and coronial inquests in health and general liability contexts.
  • Act for healthcare providers, medical and allied health professionals, and major insurers.
  • Develop advocacy and advisory skills while managing your own files with mentorship from senior lawyers.
  • Engage with clients and build strong relationships within the practice.
Requirements
  • Experience in defendant insurance litigation.
  • Solicitor or associate level candidate.
  • Pragmatic, client-focused, collaborative, and able to work in a flexible, supportive environment.
  • Willingness to develop skills in health and liability matters and progress within the practice.
