About the Job
As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role offers opportunities for professional growth and development, with access to ongoing education and training opportunities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prescribe medications, order, initiate and interpret diagnostic pathology and/or radiology.
  • Lead and collaborate in the development and evaluation of clinical protocols, standards, policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with others to contribute to resource and health quality development.
  • Contribute expert nursing assessment and advice to achieve integrated nursing care within a risk management and best practice framework.
About You
  • You must hold current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A Nurse Practitioner Master's level qualification and NMBA endorsement to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is mandatory.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo the CQ Health Nursing and Midwifery and Health Practitioner Credentialing and Defining Scope of Clinical Practice Committee Nurse requirements for credentialing as a Nurse Practitioner according to the CQ Health policy.
  • A demonstrated practice scope in, or completion of, or willingness to complete Opioid Dependence Treatment and Hep C prescriber course/s will be highly regarded.
