Lifeguard Position

This role involves providing lifeguarding services at various aquatic facilities in Ballarat, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for users.

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Supervise aquatic users and maintain a safe environment
    • Perform cleaning and general administration tasks
    • Deliver exceptional customer service and communication

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a current Statement of Attainment with the SISSS00133 – Pool Lifeguard skill set or willingness to attain
  • Hold a current Statement of Attainment with the HLTAID003 or HLTAID011 – Provide first aid skill set or willingness to attain
  • Experience in lifeguard duties preferred but not required
  • Understanding of appropriate response and action to emergency and/or first aid incidents
  • Demonstrated understanding of reporting and responding to hazards and issues of safety in a swimming pool environment
  • Current Employee Working with Children Check if over 18 years of age
  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to work activities and work area
