Key Responsibilities- Deliver Psychosocial Interventions: Provide a range of psychosocial interventions, including specialist discipline-specific therapies, counseling, psychoeducation, and direct strategic support to clients.
- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including risk assessments, to identify clients' needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Develop and Implement Recovery Plans: Assist clients to develop a comprehensive individual recovery plan and facilitate effective delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of this plan.
- Engage with Clients and Advocate: Actively engage with potential clients and advocate for clients with other services to ensure they receive the support they need.
- Participate in Case Planning and Review: Provide input into case planning and participate in case review meetings when required to ensure effective coordination of care.
- Collaborate with Registered Nurses: Work alongside a registered nurse to provide holistic support for individuals with severe mental illness.
- Relevant Qualifications: Hold a degree in counseling, psychology, or relevant tertiary qualifications in human services.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
- Mental Health Knowledge and Experience: Have extensive knowledge of mental health issues and experience working with people in regional and remote areas.
- Knowledge of the Non-Government Mental Health Sector: Have knowledge and understanding of the non-government mental health sector and its services.
- Computer Literacy and Keyboard Skills: Possess demonstrated keyboard skills and computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Interpersonal and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities to effectively work with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to Handle Multiple Tasks and Competing Interests: Be able to handle multiple tasks and competing interests to ensure effective coordination of care.
- Ability to Deal with Ambiguity and Complexity: Be able to deal with ambiguity and complexity in a fast-paced environment.
- Action-Oriented and Accountable: Be action-oriented and take accountability to achieve results in line with set timeframes.
- Proven Ability to Build and Maintain Relationships: Demonstrate a proven ability to build and maintain sustainable internal and external relationships.
