Job Opportunity: Behavioural Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioural Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing 1:1 therapy to clients with autism and developmental delay.

Working under the guidance of a experienced supervisor, you will support clients in developing essential skills in communication, social interactions, and emotional regulation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide therapy to clients in varied settings (home, clinic, school) under supervision.
  • Support clients in developing communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation skills.
  • Collect client data to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Foster a positive environment that encourages client participation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Studying or completed a degree/certificate in psychology, disability, education, occupational therapy, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Right to work in Australia.
  • Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain).
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module - 'Quality, Safety and You'.
  • Full Australian driver's license and vehicle, current car registration, and comprehensive car insurance.
  • Laptop/iPad (you will use your own device on shift).
Disability Support Worker Requirements:
  • Hold a Certificate III in a relevant qualification (such as Individual Support, Aged Care, Community Services, or Disability) and complete placement.
  • Have at least six months of paid experience as a Disability Support Worker (volunteer work or caring for family members not included).
