As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development and release of new TUFLOW features, enhancing and expanding the core computational engines and associated software development processes across all TUFLOW products.

This role joins our innovative and award-winning team, driven by growth opportunities in key markets worldwide. We are based in Brisbane, AU.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in a planned programme of upgrade and enhancement of the TUFLOW codebase to ensure future customer needs are met.
  • Deliver software features across all products, determined by the supporting Business Planning process.
  • Evaluate and select standard techniques to perform technical tasks and address variable situations.
  • May contribute to technical papers and industry/conference presentations.
  • Undertake specific tasks including working closely with the wider TUFLOW team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years post-grad professional software development experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Direct industry experience in high-performance scientific computing relating to GPU software development and scientific software architecture, design and optimisation
  • Fluent in C++ and FORTRAN programming languages
  • Fluent with version control platforms and associated software merging, testing and release protocols
  • Problem-solving skills, particularly in debugging and optimising performance-critical applications
  • Demonstrated accountability in delivering high-quality software solutions
  • Software development on Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Cloud and/or distributed computing experience
  • Experience with parallel computing
