Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Ward team at a leading hospital in Australia. As a Registered Nurse – Medical Ward, you will provide comprehensive and compassionate nursing care to patients admitted to the Medical Ward, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care that is respectful, empathetic, and culturally sensitive.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs monitoring, symptom assessment, and medication reconciliation.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Provide education to patients and their families on their medical condition, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary team members.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Previous experience in a medical ward or acute care setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to delivering patient-centered care and maintaining professional standards.
