The Population Child Health Clinical Research Group emphasizes mixed methods implementation evaluation of paediatric healthcare models, including the PEACH study and the MRFF-funded Transition Compass study.

About the Role:

  • A PhD in health-services research, public health or children's health with expertise gained from experience, training and/or professional accreditation.
  • Demonstrated experience in qualitative research methods.
  • Competency in basic statistical analysis.
  • Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake high quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
  • Experience submitting ethics and research governance applications.
  • An understanding of basic equity-based research.
  • Proven initiative and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to work both independently and part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and levels of seniority.
  • Proven high level organisational skills, including the ability to establish priorities, time management, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Previous research/administrative experience at an appropriate level.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW's aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
