About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our Breakdowns team in Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, inspecting, and maintaining a variety of equipment, including haul trucks and ancillary equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy diesel mechanics, with experience in diagnosing and repairing complex equipment issues. They will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Repair and maintain heavy diesel equipment, including haul trucks and ancillary equipment
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex equipment issues
- Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability
- Australian Recognised Heavy Mechanical Qualifications
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing complex equipment issues
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence
- Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
