About the Role

This position will be primarily based in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit, however there are opportunities to utilise your skills and knowledge as part of a supportive department across all areas of practice within CMN.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provision of advanced social work services in the ED and ICU, including leading complex cases and contributing to planning, evaluation and quality improvement
  • Liaising and engaging with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to advocate for patients and families
  • Providing staff supervision and supporting colleagues in their professional development
  • Maintaining professional social work standards and contributing to the overall reputation of Calvary Mater Newcastle
