About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Architect, AI to join our team at Optus. As a key member of our AI Tribe, you will be responsible for shaping the architecture strategy and designing AI & ML reference architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in quarterly and annual planning workshops to contribute to the data and cloud strategy
  • Design and govern the AI & ML reference architecture, including architecture patterns, principles, and guidelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reusable AI frameworks
  • Implement and manage AI & ML operational frameworks, integrating cutting-edge tools to streamline deployment and operational processes
  • Contribute to the architecture design within an Agile Delivery Tribe, working hands-on with AI & ML solutions

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years focused on delivering AI & ML solutions, architecture, and design
  • Proven expertise in AI/GenAI solutions, including creating architectures that balance business needs with cost, capability, and risk
  • Strong hands-on experience with AI & ML frameworks and tools, as well as cloud platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to lead AI Solution Architects, ensuring designs prioritise security, scalability, ethics, and data governance
  • Experience working with stakeholders to create technical visions, high-level architectures, and roadmaps for large-scale programs
  • Solid understanding of MLOps, including lifecycle management, CI/CD automation, and operational monitoring of AI solutions
