Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and implementation of our data lake and analytics platform. As a key member of our data squad, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our data, as well as contributing to the development of our data stack.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Ingestion and Quality: Design and implement technology to ingest data from external sources into our data lake, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Data Stack Development: Take an active role in contributing to our data stack, ensuring data is flowing and formatted in a way that allows the business to generate insights.
  • Data Transformation and Analytics: Use your skills in Python, SQL, and DBT to transform data and make it available for analytics and reporting purposes.
  • Product Development: Contribute to our Ruby on Rails powered product, where the data is surfaced and used to streamline processes and underpin delightful product experiences.
Requirements
  • Experience with AWS services such as AWS Glue, Lambda, and Redshift.
  • Experience with programming languages Python, Ruby, and DBT.
  • Experience with data manipulation libraries and frameworks and can wield Pyspark with ease.
  • Experience managing technical requirements, definition through to implementation, performance verification, and monitoring.
