About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Program Business Manager to join our C-27J Leadership Team and lead a high-performing financial team. In this role, you will provide strategic financial leadership, ensuring precise financial management across all aspects of the program.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing business management team, fostering collaboration and a results-focused culture.
  • Oversee accurate and compliant financial reporting, including CAM reporting, rolling forecasts, and invoicing.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director, Control Account Managers, and other senior stakeholders to ensure optimal financial performance and the achievement of program objectives.
  • Act as the financial authority on project controls, cash flow management, and forecasting, providing expert advice and direction.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial strategies to align with program goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, negotiating financial matters and ensuring robust governance and control.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
About You
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting or equivalent, with CA or CPA accreditation.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing teams in complex and fast-paced environments.
  • Strong experience in managing financial controls, policies, and procedures, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with complex stakeholder groups.
  • Experience working within defence-related projects and familiarity with contractual drivers.
  • Strong ability to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.
